Scales for School Board
ABOUT ME

While I was born in South Dakota, I grew up in Madison. After receiving my degree in Theater and Radio/TV/Film from UW Oshkosh, my wife and I moved to the South Milwaukee area, where one of our daughters is already attending school at Blakewood Elementary. My wife has been working as an educator since 2016 and I have been working for Mount Mary University for over three years as the IT Classroom Specialist, helping professors and students alike with any technical issues that arise in class. Both of my parents were orchestra teachers and instilled a great love for the arts in all of their children. I have worked with many Milwaukee area theater companies, as well as being an Associate Artist with The Constructivists Theatre Company. My family and the constant pursuit of a better life for them are why I am running for school board. These are some of the areas that I believe can change.

Enhancing Parental Engagement
I believe in fostering stronger connections between schools and families. Through initiatives that encourage parental involvement, such as regular communication channels, family events, and volunteer opportunities, we can create a collaborative environment that positively impacts student success and school community dynamics.

Investing in Education Excellence
I am committed to prioritizing the recruitment and retention of highly qualified teachers by advocating for competitive salaries and comprehensive professional development programs to ensure our students benefit from a top-notch education.

Community Partnerships for Educational Success
I am dedicated to forging partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to enhance the educational experience. By leveraging community resources and expertise, we can create enriching opportunities for students, support school programs, and build a strong foundation for the overall success of our educational system.
